Surveying Xperts Ltd (company number 15738574, registered office 29 Devizes Road, Swindon, SN1 4BG) is responsible for the personal information you give us through this website, by phone or by email.

What we collect

When you book or ask for a quote we collect your name, phone number, email address, the property address and postcode, and any notes you give us about access to the property.

How we use it

We use your information to arrange and carry out your appointment, issue your certificate or report, take payment and contact you about your booking. After your appointment we send one email asking how it went and inviting you to leave a Google review; we don't send marketing emails. We lodge EPCs on the government's national EPC register through our accreditation scheme (Quidos or Elmhurst Energy), as the law requires. The register is public, and shows the property address and its energy details, but not your name or contact details.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where it's needed to provide your service:

If you book a gas safety check, we pass your name, contact details, the property address and access notes to our partner Gas Safe registered engineer, who carries out the check.
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Postcodes are checked with postcodes.io to work out the distance band.
Appointments are stored in our Google calendar, and enquiry forms are processed by our website host, Netlify.
If you accept advertising cookies, Google receives information about your visit, as described under Cookies below.

We don't sell your information or use it for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as we need them for accounting and accreditation purposes, normally six years, and then delete them. Quote requests that don't lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing surveyingxperts@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We advertise on Google. With your permission, Google Ads sets cookies so we can see which adverts lead to a booking, a quote request, a contact form or a call. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept these cookies, and none are set unless you do. If you reject them, Google receives only basic information without cookies (for example, that a booking was made), which it uses to estimate how well our adverts work.

If you accept and then book, your email address is sent to Google in a scrambled (hashed) form, so Google can match the booking to an advert you clicked. Google can't read the address itself. We also remember your cookie choice on your device, so we don't ask again.

You can change your choice at any time with cookie settings, or through the link at the bottom of every page. Google's use of this information is covered by Google's advertising policies.
